Comins Township is located in the near-northeast corner of Oscoda County. It consists of a mixture of hilly, fertile farmland to the west and the Huron National Forest to the east, and includes a few private lakes, camps and ranches. Its largest community is Fairview, situated at the north junction of M-33 and M-72,
